Biography
The Usual Suspec Paradox was born in Highgate, Birmingham, UK, in 1978 and raised with her sister by her grandmother and mother. Raised as a rasta from the age of three, music was always present throughout her life and she had already been exposed to music from when she was in the womb.Her mother was an avid music enthusiast, as was her grandmother who went to church and loved Elvis, country music, and hymns which would often be played in the house.
In July 2003, The Usual Suspec took a weekend music production course, where she started writing lyrics and found a real interest and motivation to actually make music herself. 5 years down the line, in the year 2000, she performed at Birmingham's Drum as part of the Black History celebrations, which she mentions as the first time she started considering herself as an MC.
In 2005, she finally decided to start a carreer in music.
Today The Usual Suspec works as a youth worker, performs regularly as a freelance MC with many different outfits, and is constantly recording and producing. Her distinctive style of rapping, her soulful voice and her bubbly personality, mixed with a strong charisma, a witty sense of humour and a extraordinary capacity to generate on the spot lyrics makes her one of the hottest MCs in England.

The Usual Suspec says she is currently in a relationship with music, her soul mate and best friend. Her mottos are: “Keep it real” and “Speak the truth and shame the Devil”
Influences:
The Usual Suspec sources her inspiration from God, her Grandmother, all the artists she has worked with and the people she has met, as well as Ms Dynamite, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Outkast, ODB, Burning Spear, and the Wailers to name just a few.
