FF BAND AT REGGAE CITY

Friendly Fire Band is due to perform at Reggae City 2012 fronted by Peppery, Lion Art and Tomlin Mystic on the 2nd June.

This is the second year of Birmingham’s newest reggae festival and the lineup confirmed so far is impressive, with foundation roots from the Twinkle Brothers, modern UK sounds of Reality Shock with the great Solo Banton and the Mellow Vibes Studio featuring Murray Man and Tenna Star.

Representing the influence of reggae in the UK, Reggae City also showcases Jungle from the likes of Congo Natty and LionFire, Dubstep with Radikal Guru, and Bashment with the high flying Heatwave Crew to name just a few, without leaving out the 2Tone movement represented by one of the flagship bands of the genre: The Beat.

3 arenas spread across the Rainbow Complex, full of  live acts and massive soundsystems, caribbean food, and vibes til the early hours in the morning

PREMONITIONS RELEASE

All artists gave an excellent performance alongside the Friendly Fire Band on the launch party of the 11.11.11, after a DJ Little Richie (Stingdem.com) warmed up the crowd.

After the live section of the night, DJ Gold and Jinx, both representing Lionfire unveiled some of the remixes they have been making of the Premonitions Riddim  (coming soon – listen to some previews here) which didn’t fail to keep the people jumping.

The next day, Peppery and Raphael were down the Friendly Fire HQ cutting dubplates all day, pictured to the right. (Left to Right – Raphael, Lion Art, Robin, Peppery)
