Side A:

A1. “Drop it On” (3:46)

blends Erykah Badu’s classic “On and On” vocals over Don Corleone’s “Drop Leaf”. This is definitely the missing cut on 2005’s hottest reggae instrumental and gets more forwards than any of the other versions in dances around the UK – this is still regarded as one of the best tunes of the genre

A2. “Sensimilla Persecution” (3:10)

mixes Buju Banton’s “Sensimilla Persecution” over King Tubby’s dub of “Gunman”, blending Buju’s hardcore delivery with an old time Roots Radics dub.

Side B:

B1. “Superior Ride” (2:29)

gives Gentleman’s “Superior” a new meaning as it fuses with Sir Coxsone’s original Studio One dub of “Take a Ride” also known as “Truths and Rights” taking Germany’s hottest current reggae star back to the roots of reggae music.

B2. “Cloudy Roots” (3:30)
revamps the Beastie Boys’ “Root Down” vocals over Friendly Fire’s “Clouds” ragga instrumental, for the old school skater massive.

« The ‘On & On’ mix on here works a treat, the mysterious editor clearly having an ear for matching melodies. » Fat City Records, Manchester
