New Show: Mr. Williamz & Iginition High Power Soundsystem
Summer 2026 will see a unique show blessing UK stages for the first time ever, combining the lyrical architect Mr. Williamz and Ignition High Power Sound with the live musicianship of Friendly Fire Band.
Known worldwide as an original sound system lyrical architect, Mr. Williamz is a critically acclaimed reggae and dancehall artist from West London. Renowned for his explosive live performances and unmistakable flow, he has recorded and performed alongside some of the biggest names in the genre, including Chronixx, Damian Marley, and Major Lazer. Through ongoing collaborations with Shy FX and Reggae Roast, he has firmly established himself at the forefront of UK sound system culture, generating more than 20 million online views in 2024 alone. His distinctive style and cultural impact also led to his acting debut in Idris Elba’s feature film Yardie.
For the first time ever, Mr. Williamz joins forces with both London’s Ignition High Power Soundsystem and Friendly Fire Band — Birmingham’s most active reggae and dancehall outfit, both on stage and in the studio — for a special live performance fusing authentic sound system culture with the raw energy of a full live band. Fresh from the success of the Birmingham anthem It’s a Brum Ting, this unique collaboration brings together dub, reggae, and dancehall in a powerful new format, pushing the boundaries of contemporary reggae performance.
Mr. Williamz and Friendly Fire Band have worked before, with the release of “Saturday Night (Reggae Version)” the “de-mix” of Chopstick Dubplate’s song of the same name, where the riddim was played live by Friendly Fire Band, leading to the Saturday Night Riddim release.
