Reggae at the Run Out : Records, Selectors, Beer and More…
Reggae at the Run Out is a celebration of British Reggae labels, each selling their own vinyl and merch across many stalls, as well as an afternoon of soundsystem, music, drinks and socialising and networking with the community.
Friendly Fire Music will be holding a stall with all the vinyl and CD releases, as well as Jam Jah Sound merch.
Founded and run by producer Robin Giorno (aka Robbie Don), the label grew out of deep roots in sound-system culture.
Already active with Jam Jah Sound and the long-running Jam Jah Mondays, Robbie Don was also honing his craft in the studio, building riddims that would become the foundation of the label’s sound. This naturally led to the formation of the Friendly Fire Band, who have played on many of the label’s releases and remain central to its identity.
Friendly Fire Music has worked with a who’s who of UK reggae talent, including Myki Tuff, Tippa Irie, Mr Williamz, YT, Solo Banton, Tenna Star, Murray Man, Lion Art, Cheshire Cat, Susan Cadogan, Earl Sixteen, Collie Weed, alongside acclaimed Jamaican artists such as Luciano, Duane Stephenson, Gosple Fish and Dan Gio.
Still going strong in 2026, the label returned earlier this year with a new 12” release featuring Peter Spence and Myki Tuff on the Work All Day riddim. This marked the first vinyl outing after a short hiatus focused mainly on digital releases, during which time the Friendly Fire Band continued to tour extensively, both as a headline act and as a backing band.
Beyond releases, Friendly Fire Music also operates Friendly Dubs, a dubplate service built on years of connections forged through the sound system, the band, and the label itself.
Come check them out you can have a chat if you’re looking for any dubplates!
