Following the Protoje tour, one name was on everybody’slips: Lila Ike. The youngest recruit of the In.Digg.Nation posse stole the show more than once with her first single “Biggest fan.”

Linking at the studio was a must, and our friends from Article Sound made the link – after voicing some heavy specials for sounds around the UK and Japan, we recorded this little beauty, on a Friendly Fire Band acoustic backing track, Mama Land after the Collie Weed song of the same name.

09/02/17 Cali P Dubplate Session

For the first time in the UK, Cali P is touring alongside British artist Natty, and will be in the studio prior to his show at the Hare and Hounds in King’s Heath.

Born in Guadeloupe, Cali P now lives in Jamaica and has been releasing tunes since 2010, with his first big hit on Necessary Mayhem in 2012, HERBALIST, and his new album Lyrical Fyah demonstrates his strong conscious lyrical styles mjaking giving him a firm stance on the international reggae scene.

26th Oct – Capital Letters

Straight outta the Midlands, Capital Letters first LP on Greensleeves entitled HEADLINE NEWS is a classic album, with the single Smoking My Ganja which to this day remains an all time classic 12″. Now working with Reggae Archives who have re-released the 12″ as well as a new album, Capital Letters are touring around the world and it’s a great honour to have both singers JB and Lukas in the studio for dubs and jingles, and a rare opportunity to voice exclusive dubs.

10th November – Murray Man

Just about managed to corner Murray Man between trips to Peru, Mexico and Ivory Coast, to get him in the studio for a dubplate session. One of the main actors on the UK Roots scene, with collaborations all over the world as well as his own Mellow Vibes label – Singer, DJ, Producer, get your orders in quick!

26th Nov – Solo Banton

Solo Banton is one of the top lyricists on the scene, and doesn’t stop releasing tunes as well as running the Classic Wonder Veterans Sound and the Vocal and Version nights. He will be in Birmingham this November for dubs and jingles.
