Queens of Reggae – Susan Cadogan and Keziasoul backed by Friendly Fire Band

Friday 1st December is an essential date for your diary as the Queen of Lovers Rock SUSAN CADOGAN comes to the Hare and Hounds for live show backed by the Friendly Fire Band.

For the occasion, the Hare and Hounds and Friendly Fire Music have put together an all-female lineup, including Birmingham’s own Keziasoul, and the feisty Female Connection aka Sandra B and Lady Destiny, spinning tunes before and after the show.

Hailing from Jamaica, Susan Cadogan came to fame with her Lee Perry produced “Hurt So Good” , which she performed at Top of the Pops in 71, propelling the tune to the top of the charts in the UK. Her recent singles include Where is the Love with the Friendly Fire Band and more recently , she has recorded with Ken Boothe, Mad Professor, and many more.

Here’s an extract of the first show she performed with the Friendly Fire Band back in 2011 – a song she originally sang with Ruddy Thomas, performed alongside Peter Spence for the occasion.

Susan Cadogan’s new single entitled Don’t Know Why will be available on 7″ vinyl at the event, as well as the new Friendly Fire Band Mixtapes and Tshirts.

Joining the live show, will be Birmingham soul and reggae artiste Keziasoul. With a lot of experience behind her, the young artiste has always been praised for her strong soulful vocals, and bubbly stage presence. For this show, expect a 100{00a712211f3fa5018cb9c51a41eab272a9784da57cf5bdbabbd54c3e0731f497} reggae track list, also backed by Friendly Fire Band.

Finally and most importantly, the Female Connection also known as Sandra B and Lady Destiny will be on the wheels of steel, spinning tunes and warming up for the live show. This is the first time the fiery duo collaborates with Friendly Fire Music, and we are truly looking forward to it.

Early Bird tickets are out now online from Skiddle.

Paper tickets will soon be available at Hatman, Summit Records and the booze shop in Selly Oak.
